Destop Graphic
Today in class we created desktop graphics. I chose to get an image of a map of the United States from the internet. This file was a JPG image that was 790 bytes in size and would automatically open in windows picture viewer. I chose to edit it with Microsoft Paint because I wasn't aware that you could edit existing images with it so I wanted to learn how. I erased all of the names of the states and would use it to ask students to name them. After editing the image the I kept the file type as JPG and the size was 733. I feel that the use of this technology is applicable for following INTASC Principles:
Principle 6:
Communication/knowledge: The teacher uses knowledge of effective verbal, nonverbal and media communication techniques to foster active inquiry, collaboration, and supportive interaction in the classroom.
Principle 7:
Planning for instruction: The teacher plans instruction based upon knowledge of subject matter, students, the community, and curriculum goals.

Week 1
Well we are done with the first week of class. I have accomplished a lot more than I thought that I would so early. Already we have created gmail accounts, blogs, and we all edited the same spreadsheet at the same time. The advancements that are being made in technology always amaze me.
